Both the boys and girls teams earned their first invitational runner up trophies the firsts for Midview since 2006 and after a 4 year period in which Midview went winless in dual or tri-meets the boys have won 5 duals over their careers and the girls have picked up 4 wins. The growth of this program has been due to their hard work and dedication to our program and we cannot thank them enough.
Throughout this season our boys 4x200 team broke 6 official Midview records ending the year by beating the previous 4x200 record by over 3 seconds and they improved their time by over 10 seconds this season. The boys 4x200 team also set the Brookside Invitational Record set by last season’s Midview 4x200 with a 1:32.72. Their 1:29.85 at districts placed them 7th and just to illustrate the luck associated with track last year would have placed them second.
The girls 7th place finish at the Lorain County Invitational was their best finish since a 6th in 2011
The girls second place finish at Brookside Invitational is their best invitational finish since a 2nd place at Midview Relays in 2006
The Boys second place at Brookside means they had top two finishes at an invitational in back to back years for the first time since 2005
The girls 4x200 of both Wendlings, Reddinger, and Hoff ran the best time for a girls 4x200 team since 2008
Jordan Reddinger’s jump of 5-0 on high jump is the second best jump on record at Midview and her 16’2.5 is the 3rd best long jump on record
Dylan Kendle’s throw of 44’3 is the best throw in shot put since 2010 WSCs
Edwin Ralat, Nick Crum, Jacob Austin, Colleen Benton, Grace Patchin, and Madisyn Wendling placed at every meet this season
Edwin Ralat and Ben Gendics now hold two Midview Records 4x100 and 4x200 placing them only behind Aaron Fenzel who holds 3 current Midview Records 100, 400, 4x400
AND the girls team scored the most points at Districts since 2011
